Workers

All Mech workers are required to report all incidents, accidents, and near misses to

  1. their supervisor
  2. the UBC Central Accident/Incident Reporting System.

Students & Visitors

Mech students and visitors are required to report incidents, accidents, and near misses to their supervisor/host, and are strongly encouraged to also report them to CAIRS.

Mech Student Groups

Formally-recognized Mech Student Groups are required to report incidents, accidents, and near misses to the following, in order of priority:

  1. their Capitain or Safety Officer
  2. the Mech Department Manager for Facilities & Technical Administration, Jen Pelletier (jen@mech.ubc.ca)
  3. the APSC Safety Officer, Richard Colwell (richard.colwell@mech.ubc.ca).
