Arming the Alarm
The last person leaving an area should set the alarm:
- Stand still in front of the panel until the green light goes on.
- All door & window contacts must be closed, and the motion sensors detecting no motion
- Press reset.
- Enter your access code.
- Press On/Off.
- The panel will start beeping; you have 30 seconds to leave.
Dis-arming the Alarm
If the alarm is armed when you open the door:
- The panel will start buzzing; you have 60 seconds to enter an access code before the alarm goes off.
- Press reset.
- Enter your access code.
- Press On/Off.
If you set off the alarm in error:
- Attempt to reset the alarm.
- Contact Campus Security at 604-822-2222, apprise them of the situation, and remain in the area until they arrive.
- If you were unable to reset the alarm, contact the Mech Office to request their assistance until Campus Security arrives:
