The MakerSpace is an unsupervised, access, self-serve facility containing fabrication equipment such as:
- an abrasive water-jet cutter
- 3D printers
- sheet metal brake
- sheet metal shear
- light tools for assembly and fabrication
- equipment for wood and plastics fabrication.
Water-Jet Use
To log your water-jet use, and pay for your time spent using it, please log your hours through the water-jet use reporting form.

Orientation
Access to the Student MakerSpace requires the completion of a in-person orientation session in KAIS1180N.
Note: Students entering 2nd year MECH or MANU will receive this orientation as part of MECH 220 or MANU 280 respectively. No pre-term orientations or access are permitted.
Warning: MakerSpace fob access rosters are wiped at the end of April every year. To re-establish your access, submit a refresh request.
Important: Only those who meet the eligibility requirements are permitted to access the Machine Shop and MakerSpace.
