IT Services

Mechanical Engineering has three computer labs for teaching and learning, and one satellite lab. Beyond these spaces, IT services are handled centrally by UBC or the Faculty of Applied Science.

IT Service Requests

All IT service requests should be sent to Faculty of Applied Science IT team through the APSC IT Help Form.

UBC Email Addresses

New employees (faculty, staff, and student employees including GRAs, RAs, and TAs) will receive a Faculty and Staff Email (FASmail) account.  Mechanical Engineering’s HR team will be able to help with any questions at  hr@mech.ubc.ca.

Research Group Websites

If you are a faculty member and wish to create a website for your research group, please contact communications@mech.ubc.ca, and we will set you up with a website using UBC’s common look and feel. Please note that your research group is responsible for content and updates. UBC uses a content management system based off WordPress, and the Centre for Teaching and Learning Technology (CTLT) provides support through their weekly WordPress clinics.
